Derrick Kiley's Homepage!

This is my first, feeble attempt at my own web page!

I'M STARTING AS A LECTURER AT U.C. MERCED THIS SUMMER!

I've submitted my dissertation, On Codimension-2 Branes, to the Graduate Studies office, and it was accepted!! Everything's all done - all that's left is Commencement.

I wrote it under Nemanja Kaloper in the cosmology group of the Department of Physics at the University of California, Davis.

My research interests are black holes, theoretical high-energy physics, and braneworld studies, specifically the physics of codimension-2 branes, which was the basis of my Ph.D. thesis. I'm also very interested in other areas of physics, particularly cosmological inflation.
